Blog Candy to Help Victoria

I am so excited that I have had over 6,000 hits since my blogging career began! Yay! I DO have friends!! LOL!! Here's what I've got for ya:
* 11 Stampin' Up! Inspiration Sheets

* 11 unopened spools of ribbon from the Target dollar spot (not sure how much is on each roll.. doesn't look like much... but enough to do something with! )

*Paint Prints Stamp Set (Set of 6 stamps, new and unmounted)

* 5 stamped cards with clear envelopes

* 6 Rhinestone Brads

* 10 yellow/blue jewel flowers (non SU)

Each Inspiration sheet has step-by-step instructions to make 6 projects. The inspiration sheets in this blog candy are: tag time, greetings galore, tags & more, fun filled, little pieces, fresh flowers, loads of love, paris in the spring, simply circles, sweet and sassy, burst into bloom.

Here is what you have to do to enter into this contest. A dear friend of mine asked for my help, so I decided to offer a reward for your help! Chrissy's son goes to school with this young lady... Victoria. Victoria has cancer. Her teacher is trying to get cards sent to her from everywhere in the US.... and wouldn't it be GREAT if my international blogging friends would join in, too???? Here is a copy of the email from Victoria's teacher:

1. I want Victoria to receive cards and letters from EVERY STATE in the USA. This means WE - me and you, have to send out these emails to all our friends and relatives all over the country and get them on board with us.

2. I'm going to get a map for Victoria so she can map every piece of mail she gets. I think it would be so neat to see how far her name can travel.

3. We have to enlist everyone we know to send her a card. Suggestions I thought about: Sunday School classes, classrooms at school, organizations and groups you are a member of, clubs, workplaces, dr. offices, neighborhoods and the list can go on and on - USE YOUR IMAGINATION! All we would have to do is purchase several cards, take them with us wherever we go and have the people we come in contact with simply sign it as a way of letting Victoria know we are all praying for her.

4. Now, here's the challenging part. I want us to do this within the next 2 weeks AND I want Victoria to receive 5000 cards and letters during this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is only 100 cards from EACH state! I want the mailman to drop off bags of letters to 1205 Red Bud Circle.

5. Emails don't count - only snail mail!!! (I know, you might have to buy some stamps!!!!)

6. Homemade cards are great too! Anything that can be sent via the US postal service.

7. EVERY card MUST include the city and state from which it was sent. ( And if possible, a little bit about the people from whom the card was sent!)

8. As a teacher, I must give you a due date: All cards and letters must be sent by September 27, 2007 to be included in this project.

9. You can mail your cards and letters to:

Victoria Enmon
1205 Red Bud Circle
Orange, TX 77632

10. Let's have fun with this! Get out there and send some mail!
Wouldn't it be awesome to exceed 5000 letters from ALL over the world!!! We can do it!Help me bring something fun and different into the life of this precious little lady! I want this to be something you pass along to your friends and family across the nation, encouraging them to pray for Victoria. Enlist people of ALL ages - from the youngest to the oldest - everyone can get involved!!! Think about where you go (dance, football practice, church, school, work, birthday parties, etc.) and use your imagination to get people involved. Buy some cards and send them with your children to their events and make this a family assignment! Have fun most of all!!!Remember: A nation that prays together ,stays together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, for an entry to this blog candy, zip me an email with the title "blog candy" and a picture of the card you will send to Victoria. Or... you can post a comment with a link to your blog with a picture of the card you will mail to Victoria. I will use Random.org to pick a winner. Your participation is greatly appreciated... Thanks and good luck!! Oh yea... I WILL ship this blog candy internationally! Oh, and don't forget to pray!

Angleosity had a great idea. I've decided to copy her idea here: Your card doesn't have to be handmade either. But if it is, you'll get an extra entry if you link to your card and another entry if you spread the word via your blog! That's 3 possible entries. Be sure to let me know!

This link is to the card I made for Victoria. I did also mention your blog if anyone wants to join even though there is only a few days left.

I hope she enjoys the cards!

Hi! My name is a link to a picture of my handmade card for Victoria. (Sorry for the bad quality of the picture - I've only got a web cam at my disposal atm!) I am also spreading the word by linking from my blog post to Sari's post (in three languages!) about Victoria. My card comes from Helsinki, Finland.

Okay, so I have a card, but cannot get the scanner to work and my husband is traveling with the camera until tomorrow. I went ahead and did my post and I'll add the pic tomorrow. I hope that's okay? Thanks!
